To make this happens, we strive to keep our costs low. We do not invest in any shop front nor expensive advertising and marketing activities. We do not believe in transferring all these costs back to you. Proactive creativity is the key to achieving this objective

We distribute our products through well-known retailers, locally and abroad. Again, this saves hundreds of dollars worth of marketing costs so, what you are paying in the end, is of the true value. You CAN be assured that nothing is overpriced.

Together with 5 years of experience in designing clothes for mothers, added with a firsthand knowledge of pregnancy and nursing, we strive to bring you new designs as often as possible.

Our History 

I started this business after the birth of my second child in 2001. Back then, I decided to breastfeed her 100% after my son was diagnosed with allergic rhinitis. The pediatrician informed me that it was a genetic condition and, the only way to help my daughter escape the same, was to boost her immune system. And, the best way was to breastfeed her for as long as I could. 

So I figured, since I could save thousand of dollars of formula milk, why not? I was determined to breastfeed her for as long as she wanted, through teeth and all! 
I am one of those mothers who never had any problem with my milk supply. The only problem I had was the proper clothes to wear during breastfeeding! I used to hide in my car or in my bedroom for each feed. I was so conscious of how others would looked at me when I breastfed. Having to wear unattractive, baggy tees didn’t help build much of my confidence either. 

Nursing clothes were hard to get in those days. Those available were either too expensive or too ugly. I got tired of wearing frumpy, oversized clothes that made me look like a sack potato! 
Then one day, my sister-in-law helped me sew a very pretty nursing top, with a matching baby dress for my little girl – my very first own design! I just loved the looks and coos that we got! We were instant starlets!! Soon, many mothers asked about our clothes and we got some orders.. That was just the start. :)

Thanks to the moral support of my husband, a home-based business with kids running around in my home office was established .For the next 8 years it has been a one woman show. 
Juggling motherhood and work had thought me to appreciate all the little things in life. It also taught me to be more self-discipline and tolerant towards the kids. My son is now in P6 and my daughter is in P3. Both have been my loyal fans and official photographers for years

My business philosophy is simple but true to the heart – I strive to create clothing that is not only beautiful but, practical and comfortable as well. I will make sure that they are value for money by ensuring good workmanship and quality. It is my hope that you will enjoy what I enjoy creating for you!

Corporate Milestones

With this small home business receiving more and more ''word of mouth'' referrals over the years , the time was right to transform into a Corporate entity in 2005. We were fortunate to receive some 'seed money' to bring us to the next level. We have increase our variety in terms of designs for our maternity/nursing wear line. Management remains very much the same over the following 3 years

Year 2009 marks another remarkable milestone for us. 

We are proud that as of todate, our brand, AnneeMatthew, has successfully penetrated into several major countries of the world. Our distributorships span from United Kingdom, France, United States ,Canada, Australia and New Zealand and Malaysia.

July 18th 2009 marked our official move to our modest corporate office cum warehouse. This move will further underscore our belief in consistencies so as to deliver our unique best to our clients.

To bring our company to the next level, we are also have on board Matthew Tan HM (ex-banker) as our strategic business advisor. His broad experience in terms of markets, finance and business strategies will surely transform our company into a million dollar company in the very near future.

 

Note: Matthew Tan HM has kindly relinquished all of his interests in this company as of 1 April, 2010. His advisory services, thru his company Numbers Capital Pte Ltd. has been terminated as of 1 April 2010. He has no further connection with this company from the said date thereafter.
